How do I install my train horn kit?

You’ll want to start by planning out where you want to install your horns, compressor, and air tank. To prevent a delay in sounding the horns make sure to keep the air solenoid as close to the horns as possible. Click here for our installation guide.

Can I mount my compressor sideways?

If your compressor is oil-less you can mount it in any position or direction. However, we do not recommend an upside-down mount. If you are using a compressor that is oiled, then you must mount the compressor upright and check the oil on a regular basis. If you mount your compressor on the frame rail of your truck check every so often to make sure that your compressor is secure.

Always check for air leaks. Even the smallest air leak will shorten the lifespan of your compressor, and kill the performance of your kit. Unfortunately, If your compressor dies prematurely due to air leaks, the compressor is not the one to blame.

Checking for leaks is easy. Simply put soapy water where the fitting connections are. If bubbles grow in size then there’s a leak.
